I'd also like to thank you. When usenet posted that quote about Jesus saying
he came here to put family against family I used to think that was just a
misquote or Jesus meant something else. Now that you showed me Christians
actually take it literally it proves he wasn't the peace and love dude I
used to think he was. He also denied Mary and cursed a fig tree just for
getting in his way or something and wouldn't let one of his disciples burry
his dead father. Not a pleasant chap.

Lol the church didn't tell me shit. I read about the Caste system in a book
about Hinduism. But your right it has nothing to do with Hinduism and in
fact I agree with Hinduism and Buddhism more then Christianity. I believe in
karma and reincarnation and God (which is why I am not a Buddhist) but dude
the church hasn't had any affect on me in a long time. I don't even believe
Jesus was a historical figure! I think he was basically just a result of a
bunch of recycled myths that were turned Jewish in hopes that the Jews would
think he was the Messiah. Plus none of the characters in the OT existed so I

Megaliths are standing memorials of this Hindu samskara. A stone is
planted in the house of the deceased, after cremation, for a period
of ten days.

What has been found in Sembiyan Kandiyur is consistent with the
practice of Pitru-medha described in As'valayana Grhya Sootr.

Post cremation Burial (Pitr-medha)

During the Vedic and early Grhya periods it was common to bury the
incinerated bones of a deceased person in an urn. This was the pitr-
medha ceremony. The Grhya-sutras of Asvalayana describe how the
burned bones were to be collected on the third lunar day (tithi)
after death. In the case of a man who had died, the bones were to be
collected by elderly men and placed into a male urn. In the case of a
woman, the bones were to be collected by elderly women and placed
into a female urn. Urns were designed by their shape to be male or
female. The performers of this ceremony were to walk three times in a
counterclockwise direction around the bones while sprinkling milk and
water from a particular kind of twig (sami). The bones were then
placed into the urn as they were picked up individually with the
thumb and fourth finger. First the bones of the feet were to be
gathered and then successively the other bones were to be gathered
working toward the head. After the bones had been purified and
gathered they were sealed and buried in a secure location.

Fort Jackson, SC (WTAQ) - Five soldiers have been arrested on charges
of trying to poison the food supply at South Carolina's Fort Jackson.
Chris Grey, a spokesman for the Army's Criminal Investigation
Division, says the ongoing investigation began 2 months ago, leading
to the arrests. The 5, detained in December, were part of an Arabic
translation program called "09 Lima" and are all reportedly Muslims.
Grey says the Army is taking the allegations, "extremely seriously,"
adding at this time, "there is no credible information to support the
allegations."

An unidentified source told authorities the so-called "Fort Jackson
Five" may have been in contact with the group of 5 Washington, DC
area Muslims that traveled to Pakistan, allegedly to wage jihad
against U.S. troops in December. That group was arrested by
Pakistani authorities just before Christmas. News of the South
Carolina arrests comes on the heels of November's massacre at Fort
Hood in Texas, also involving a Muslim soldier.

Amritsar: Tension prevailed in Majitha town in Punjab when irate
shopkeepers today set on fire 25 motorcycles of Christians who
allegedly vandalised their business establishments during their
protest.

Police said a group of about 50 people from the Christian community
were forcing shopkeepers in the town, about 20km from here, to pull
down their shutters while they were protesting against an allegedly
objectionable picture of Jesus Christ published in some newspapers.

When the protesters started vandalising the shops and smashing the
shutters and glow signs, local residents and shopkeepers assembled
and attacked them.

Seeing people assembling in large numbers, the agitating men fled the
spot leaving behind their motorbikes. The shopkeepers and residents
then set afire 25 of the vehicles.

The situation in the Majitha assembly constituency became tense
following the incident, police said, adding that a force had been
deployed in the town.

Dallas Islamic Leader Deported

Government links him to terror groups

An immigration judge in Dallas on Friday ordered an outspoken Islamic
leader deported after the U.S. government alleged he had ties to
terrorist groups in the Middle East.

Nabil Sadoun, a Dallas resident and former board member of the
Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, was deported to his
native Jordan after he failed to appear at his immigration hearing.
He entered the U.S. in August 1993.

Sadoun's attorney, Kimberly Kinser, said he was already in Jordan and
was unable to return to Texas because the government had taken his
permanent resident card, or green card.

She denied he was tied to any terrorist groups.

In the hearing, Judge Anthony Rogers of the Executive Office for
Immigration Review, said Sadoun "made a decision to leave the U.S."
and forfeited his right to fight his deportation. He said the
decision was final and could not be appealed.

In court, the judge made vague references to the government's
voluminous motion to deport him, including alleged involvement with
Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. The judge concluded Sadoun lied on
government forms when he denied he was a member.

The judge also indicated there was evidence Sadoun contributed to the
Richardson-based Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development,
which was the largest Islamic charity in the United States.
Prosecutors convicted the group of funneling money to terrorist
groups and several of its leaders were sent to prison. In the case,
CAIR was named an unindicted co-conspirator.

The judge's comments in court provided the only window into the
allegations against Sadoun. The documents detailing charges made by
the Department of Homeland Security were not publicly available.

Ibrahim Hooper, a CAIR spokesman, said Sadoun left the organization
several months ago.

Asked the reason for his departure, Hooper said, "Board members come
on, (and) they leave."

Over the years, Sadoun made public comments critical of Israel, but
Rogers said he considered the remarks free speech and gave them no
weight in the decision to deport him, "no matter how distasteful they
are to this court."
