توفي تلميذ مصري، في الـ11 من العمر، نتيجة تعرضه للضرب بقسوة من مدرّس مادة
الرياضيات، لمعاقبته على "عدم حلّ الواجب" المدرسي.
فقد كان المدرّس هيثم عبد الحميد (23 عاماً) يعنّف ويوبخ تلميذه اسلام عمرو، في
أحد صفوف مدرسة سعد عثمان الابتدائية بالإسكندرية، بسبب تخلّف الفتى عن حلّ
"جزء من الواجب". وهمّ بضرب إسلام بالمسطرة، إلا أن التلميذ لم يستجب، ما دفع
أستاذه لمعاقبته "افرادياً" خارج الفصل، حيث بادر إلى ضربه بقسوة في البطن، ما
أدى إلى إغماء الطفل، حسبما نقلت صحيفة "المصري اليوم" الثلاثاء 28-10-2008.
بعدها نقل اسلام إلى مستشفى شرق المدينة، وهو يعاني ضيقاً بالتنفس والنبض،
واتساعاً في حدقة العين، ثم ما لبث أن فارق الحياة، بعد هبوط حاد في الدورة
الدموية والقلب، وفشل وظائف التنفس والمخ.
واعترف المدرس بارتكاب الواقعة، أمام نيابة المنتزه، وقال إنه ضرب إسلام بغرض
"تأديبه فقط وليس قتله"، فوجهت له النيابة تهمة القتل الخطأ، وقررت حبسه ٤ أيام
على ذمة التحقيقات.
وفي حادث مدرسيّ آخر، شهدته الإسكندرية أيضاً، أصيب حسام أحمد جابر (١٦ سنة)،
وهو طالب بمدرسة الشهيد إسماعيل فهمي الصناعية، بكسر في العنق والظهر والجمجمة
ونزيف في البطن، أثناء محاولته القفز من الدور الثاني للهروب من المدرسة.
