He sure does: the terrorist mission of Jesus stated in the Christian bible:

"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send
peace, but a sword.
"For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the
daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in
law.
"And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

I've already been saved and I know that Jesus loves me. So why do I need a

Yes, he could have raped hundreds of boys, as was done in that
elite Christian school in Germany.

They worship a corpse nailed to a cross.
All one needs to know about Christianity is right here -
the terrorist mission of Jesus stated in the Christian bible:

Another victim claims sexual abuse against a former Fargo Priest

By Jason Vincent
WDAY-TV
Tuesday, January 26, 2010

Another victim is stepping forward, claiming sexual abuse against a
former Fargo Priest. It's the latest in a string of allegations
against Brother Raimond Rose, the Fargo Diocese and Shanley High
School.

This is the latest paperwork filed today against Brother Raimond
Rose. A Fargo man has now stepped forward claiming Rose sexually
abused him in the late 70's.

Raimond Rose first came to the Fargo area in 1976. He worked for four
years at Shanley High School as a teacher. This latest victim was one
of his Shanley students. Paperwork filed today claims Rose abused
Paul Mehl when he 16 or 17 during a school trip to Bismarck.

Mehl is the third case now filed against Rose in North Dakota, all
claiming abuse that allegedly happened during overnight trips. The
group "Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests" says they've
heard from up to 30 people from Fargo who could be victims.

The three abuse cases filed here at the Cass County courthouse
against Rose will be heard again in March. The latest victim says his
mother did tell the diocese about the alleged abuse, but they did
nothing about it.

All one needs to know about Christianity is right here -
the terrorist mission of Jesus stated in the Christian bible:

"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send
peace, but a sword.
"For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the
daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in
law.
"And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
- Matthew 10:34-36.

We hear your verbal diarrhea on astrology and astrologers. But
the subject matter was price rise in India and Sonia Gandhi's

Our poor soul can't keep his story straight. NJay stevens, aka dr. jai

The real indian of the subject line with the discovery that jay

What was the discovery?

It is very good to feel that crime does not pay, but in this jBm case
it may not be the case. Vice rewarded, that's him. The jBm boasted he

Heh-heh, we don't know his address, or phone number, we don't know

Anyway, back to the topic. Indeed avatar is pronounced wrongly, as I
can hear. In Bengali, you are called an o(r)b-o(h)-taar (the r and h
are silent, in orb and oh, and taar is tar but a bit longer-drawn) if
you make some bungle or stupidity. Often, servants are called that.

In Hindi or Sanskrit, it is u(h)-vuh-taar. vuh is pronounced like
'the' and the h in u(h) is silent.

Hope some get it!

Cheers,
Arindam Banerjee.

Crawford County priest arrested on embezzlement charge

The Telegraph Herald
Friday, January 29, 2010

Prairie du Chien, Wis. - A priest at St. Mary Catholic Church in Gays
Mills and St. Phillip Catholic Church in Soldiers Grove has been
arrested on a charge of embezzling up to $200,000 from those
parishes.

The Rev. Robert Chukwu is currently in Crawford County Jail on a
felony charge of theft in a business setting of over $10,000.
According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Department, Chukwu, who
holds dual citizenship in the United States and Nigeria, told an
attorney for the Diocese of La Crosse that he used the money from the
parishes to invest in Nigeria where he could get a better interest
rate than if he sent the money to the diocese.

Authorities claim Chukwu sent money to his family in Nigeria and to a
nun and a school in Nigeria. They allege he also sent a 40-foot
container to Nigeria containing items purchased at local retail
stores. Authorities said the money used to purchase the items sent to
Nigeria came from insurance money and donations received by the
parishes for damages to the church from the 2007 flood.

An investigation of parish books found that Chukwu had approximately
$105,000 in debit card charges and unauthorized charges totaling
$196,000, according to investigators.

The case remains under investigation.

Ex-pastor who killed wife gets 65-year prison term

By Angela K. Brown
Associated Press Writer
The Associated Press
The Sacramento Bee
Thursday, January 21, 2010

Waco, Texas - Jurors on Thursday sentenced a former Texas minister to
65 years in prison for murdering his wife and trying to cover it up
as a suicide.

Jurors deliberated for about two hours before agreeing on the
sentence for 38-year-old Matt Baker. He had faced from probation to
life in prison for slipping his wife sleeping pills and suffocating
her in 2006.

Baker showed no reaction when the sentence was announced. When the
judge asked if there was any legal reason why Baker should not be
formally sentenced, he said: "I truly believe in my innocence. I
believe the jury made a mistake in this."

Later, as deputies led him from the courtroom, Baker turned to his
mother.

"Love you Mom," he said. "Take care of Kensi and Grace."

Kari's mother Linda Dulin told Baker that the family had decided to
forgive him for the sake of the two daughters.

"You took her from us, Matt; you discarded her like she was
yesterday's trash ... and you left so many other victims," Dulin said
in her victim impact statement at sentencing.

"What you did was horrific ... and I believe you are capable of much
more evil."

Jurors declined to comment after the trial, which almost never
happened.

Kari Baker's death was deemed a suicide after a note and sleeping
pills were found by the bed, and Baker said she was depressed over
their 16-month-old daughter's cancer death in 1999. But authorities
reopened the case several months later after her parents shared
evidence obtained for their wrongful death lawsuit against Baker.

He can appeal but will have to find other attorneys. His defense
team, Guy James Gray and Harold Danford, were removed as his
attorneys after the sentence as they had requested. They had
represented him for free after Baker was declared indigent.

Gray said after the trial that he felt "like an idiot" for initially
believing Baker's denial of his affair, which he later admitted. Gray
said that he did not allow Baker to testify because he "could not
vouch for his credibility." Gray said Baker remained in denial about
murdering Kari, and he represented his client as best he could.

"When you lose faith in your client, you lose heart," Gray said.

Prosecutor Crawford Long had urged jurors to impose the maximum
sentence, but he said afterward that he was not disappointed. Baker
will be eligible for parole in about 32 years.

During closing statements, prosecutor Susan Shafer said Baker was
dangerous because he still could fool people into believing he was a
good person. She said the "best of Matt" was his two daughters, who
were asleep in the house when he killed his wife.

"He thought no more of them than to murder their mother and then
erase her legacy with them by convincing them that she didn't love
them enough to stay and raise them, that she committed suicide,"
Shafer told jurors.

Gray had told jurors that Baker was on trial only because he lied
about having an affair.

The state's key witness was his ex-mistress Vanessa Bulls, who told
jurors that Baker slipped his wife the prescription sleep aid Ambien,
handcuffed her to the bed under the guise of spicing up their
marriage, and smothered her with a pillow after she fell asleep.
Baker told Bulls he typed a suicide note and rubbed Kari's lifeless
hand over it in case it was tested for fingerprints, she testified.

Then he called 911 and said he moved her to the floor, dressed her
nude body and began doing CPR, but witnesses testified that was
impossible in the few minutes before police arrived. He also gave
conflicting statements about when he found the suicide note, whether
his wife was awake or asleep when he went to run errands that night,
and which door was locked when he returned about 45 minutes later.

Baker also searched numerous pharmaceutical Web sites and almost
bought Ambien online, according to other testimony. Ambien was one of
three drugs found in Kari Baker's body, according to the autopsy
results.

Shortly after her death, he removed Kari's pictures and clothes and
replaced them with photos of Bulls with his daughters, according to
testimony. He also looked at engagement rings with Bulls.

During sentencing Thursday, four women testified that Baker had made
unwanted sexual advances toward them, including one who complained to
police of an attempted sexual assault.

Baker also used his church-issued laptop and a computer at a youth
center to look at pornographic Web sites and those for married adults
who want to have affairs, Noel Kersh, a computer forensics examiner,
testified Thursday.

Several people who knew Baker as a child or teen called him a "good
guy," and Sharon Rollins, who grew up with him, described Baker as
charming and flirtatious, but said she "never took it as an advance."

Jeanne Lehrmann, a member of a Baptist church in Riesel where Baker
was pastor several years ago, testified that he was a fine pastor.

"I truly felt that he is a man of God," Lehrmann said, adding that
she still felt that way and did not believe much of the trial
evidence.

Priest accused of molesting St. Charles child makes first court appearance

By Hal Conick
St. Charles Republican
January 25, 2010

St. Charles, IL - After being charged with sexually assaulting a St.
Charles child over a period of five years, a Shorewood Catholic
priest made his first appearance in court last week.

Alejandro Flores, 37, has been charged with one count of predatory
criminal sexual assault, which could carry up to 30 years in jail;
two counts of sexual assault, which could carry up to 15 years in
jail; and four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, which each
carry up to seven years in jail.

Flores, of the 600 block of Brook Forest Avenue in Shorewood, is a
member of the Diocese of Joliet.

Authorities allege that between Jan. 1, 2005, and Jan. 1, 2010,
Flores had sexual contact with a St. Charles minor, now 13, who is
his godson.

Kane County Assistant State's Attorney Debra Bree said in court Jan.
21 that the victim told the Kane County Child Advocacy Center Jan. 5
that he had been abused by Flores. The boy told authorities Flores
had put his hand and mouth on the victim's genitals in the boy's
house and in Flores' car, prosecutors said. The boy told his mother
he had been sexually assaulted by Flores, while the victim's mother's
boyfriend allegedly witnessed what he believed to be sexual abuse,
according to prosecutors.

A warrant for Flores' arrest was issued Jan. 15. Flores, who had
attempted suicide by jumping off of the 20-foot balcony of a Joliet
church earlier this month, was picked up on that warrant from the
hospital by Joliet police and transferred to the custody of the Kane
County Sheriff's Department Jan. 20.

In court, Bree said while Flores was in the hospital, he told a
fellow Diocese of Joliet priest about an incident in which he went
over to the victim's family's house, and was served tequila by the
victim's mother. Flores told the priest he passed out, and woke up in
the middle of a sex act with the victim, prosecutors said.

Bree said there is no blood relation between Flores and the victim.

Kane County Circuit Judge Thomas E. Mueller set Flores' bail at $1
million. Flores will be held in the Kane County jail.

Flores, a native of Bolivia, already has surrendered his passport to
authorities. If he bonds out, he is prohibited from having contact
with the victim, the victim's family, and anyone younger than 17.

If he is convicted of all counts, he may face up to 67 years in jail.

Flores was a seminarian assigned to St. Mary's Parish in West
Chicago. He later was assigned to Holy Family Parish in Shorewood,
and ordained a priest last summer.

In St. Mary's Parish's weekly bulletin Jan. 17, the Rev. John Balluff
said after the news broke, Flores was immediately placed on
administrative leave and "removed from all priestly duties."

Balluff asked parishioners to report any other abuse to local law
enforcement.

"We will always be committed to doing everything possible to protect
children, to help this child and his family, and to help bring about
healing for our families and the people of the Diocese," Balluff said
in the bulletin. "God will bring his healing to all who are hurting
in this very difficult time."

In a statement, Diocese of Joliet Bishop J. Peter Sartain said the
diocese received a call Jan. 4 with information that Flores had
abused a 13-year-old boy. The diocese then informed the Illinois
Department of Children and Family Services and the Kane County
State's Attorney's office, as per diocesan policy.

Sartain said he informed Flores of the accusation, placed him on
administrative leave and "removed his priestly faculties." Sartain
said he arranged a monitored living situation for Flores as the
investigation continued, but Flores left and soon thereafter
attempted suicide.

"Since Monday, I have been deeply grieved for the young boy whose
family reported the abuse and for the entire family," Sartain said in
the statement. "I and the Diocese of Joliet will continue to
cooperate with all law enforcement agencies in this tragic
situation."

Glenn Sowa, a Geneva lawyer representing Flores, said they will enter
a plea of not guilty, but said he had no further comment on Flores'
case.

"I may do more danger than help (by saying something)," Sowa said.

Sowa said he didn't know whether bond would be posted or if Flores is
on suicide watch. He said Flores is physically "in good health" after
the suicide attempt.

Sowa said his legal services are being paid for by friends and lay
people from the Diocese of Joliet. He said he is not being paid by
any employees of the church.

"We have the guarantee by the constitution that you're innocent until
proven guilty," Sowa said.

Details surface in case against priest

By Clifford Ward, Special to the Tribune
Chicago Tribune
January 21, 2010

The Catholic priest who attempted suicide after being accused of
sexually assaulting a young boy had a close relationship with the
boy's family, authorities said Thursday.

The Rev. Alejandro Flores, 37, was arraigned in Kane County Court on
seven felony counts that allege the Bolivian-born priest molested the
boy over a five-year period, starting in January 2005, when the boy
would have been 8.

Flores, who was ordained last year, was a seminarian assigned to St.
Mary Catholic Church in West Chicago when the alleged abuse began.
Authorities alleged that abuse also took place at the boy's home and
in Flores' vehicle.

Flores was arrested Wednesday after his release from a Joliet-area
hospital where he had been taken following an apparent suicide
attempt this month. Church officials said Flores, who had knowledge
of the abuse investigation against him, had hurled himself from the
balcony of a shuttered Joliet church. He had been serving at a
Shorewood church when the abuse allegations surfaced.

Flores did not need assistance to enter or leave the courtroom
Thursday and did not show any obvious signs of injury.

Assistant Kane County State's Attorney Deb Bree told the judge that
the boyfriend of the boy's mother thought he had seen Flores and the
boy engaged in sexual contact on two occasions.

And in a bizarre revelation, Bree relayed a conversation a fellow
priest had with Flores while Flores was hospitalized. Flores
allegedly told the other priest that he had been at the boy's house
several months earlier, and that the mother had served him tequila.
Flores said he fell asleep and later awoke to find himself having
sexual contact with the youth.

Geneva attorney Glenn Sowa said several concerned parishioners from
one of the churches where Flores served had hired him to represent
the priest.

"Obviously, we intend to enter a plea of not guilty, and we'll move
forward from there," Sowa said.

Bree said Flores had surrendered his passport to authorities. He is
being held in the Kane County jail in lieu of $1 million bail. His
next court date was set for Feb. 10.

Yes (elderly, lots of information in the brain cells,
slower-than-before seek time -- but no dementia). "Upkaar"
was a launchpad onto different types of roles for Pran.

God-Man lands in jail at Gods Own Country
Wednesday, May 20, 2009,16:39 [IST]
Rajesh Krishna

It seems to be trouble season for the 'god men' in Gods own Country,
Kerala. The swamis who earlier went to Himalayas to attain salvation
have now chosen jails for peace of mind.

A court in Kerala today sentenced self-styled Godman Swami
Amrithachaithanya alias Santhosh Madhavan to 16 years rigorous
imprisonment for raping two minor girls.

The case against Santosh Madhavan, who was an alleged to have carried
out transnational financial frauds, was that he had sexually abused
three minor girls and a young woman.

He is the first Malayalee criminal under GOD-MAN skin to go
international and wanted by Interpol since 2004 for fraud committed in
the United Arab Emirates.

He has been organising "spiritual" events in the Kochi and advertising
himself in full-page advertorials in vernacular dailies for over a year.
The police, who raided his ashram last year recovered porn CDs, tiger
skins, and foreign liquor.

Madhavan, a godman-cum-fraudster had been luring minor girls into his
fold promising educational aid, and many victims, including the
identified rape victim, had been used for making pornographic videos.

Madhavan, in his avatar as the white-clad swamy, founded Shanthitheeram
trust in his own name and his parents. The godman, a matriculate who
claims to have learnt astrology and philosophy, roams around in a
Mercedes Benz and invests the swindled money in building projects across
the state.

The court concluded that the godman had sexually abused two minor girls.
These were the girl who stood firm in the court and another who changed
her statement. Despite the change in the statement of the girl, the
court accepted as proof the CD containing visuals of the sexual
relationship between Santosh Madhavan and her.

Santhosh Madhavan was also accused of sexually persecuting at least
eight minor girls using an orphanage he had been running as a screen.
Santosh Madhavan had been astrologer to several elite personalities and
was also close to the top brass in the Police Department.

Sometimes I think it would be a good idea to close all churches and turn
them all into pubs. Then I'd only have to walk across the street to have a
beer, instead of having to drive 8 klms there and back to get pissed.

In Australia the christians ae mainly into little boys actually

the entire child welfare INDUSTRY courts and legal system , is
designed to harvest and maintain a steady supply of fresh faced little
boys for the ruling elites to enjoy , then kill them off in wars for
israel , before they are old enough to sue the pedophiles who run the
country

thats WHY Islam must eventually take control of the country to save
the babies from the christians and jews

Pakistan's wall of silence on child abuse

Some in the North West Frontier Province see sexual abuse as normal

By Richard Galpin in Pakistan

A new report on attitudes to child sex abuse in Pakistan's North-West
Frontier Province paints a horrifying picture of widespread abuse.

The report shows that many of the population believe that the sexual
abuse of young boys is a matter of pride.

Richard Galpin reports on the horrifying tales of sexual abuse and what
is being done
The United Nations is shortly to publish the first nation-wide survey on
child sex-abuse in Pakistan - an acutely sensitive subject in this
deeply conservative Islamic country.

The first indications of the scale of the problem have been revealed in
this early report from North-West Frontier Province.

It shows that one third of those who took part in the survey did not
even believe that child sexual abuse was a bad thing - let alone a crime.

The UN believes the sexual abuse of young children is widespread in some
areas of the country but that until now it has been hidden behind a wall
of silence.

In Pakistan much of the population lives in squalid slums where children
are forced to play their part in the day to day survival of the family.
That means working in places such as the notorious Pirwadhai bus station
in Rawalpindi.

[ image: Poor children need to take every opportunity to make money on
the streets]
Poor children need to take every opportunity to make money on the streets
Here there are hundreds of young boys at work in the grimy workshops and
sleazy hotels on which the bus station's reputation is based. For this
is a centre of child sexual abuse.

One boy told me that local hotels encouraged the trade: "The
hotel-owners employ children who are used to attract customers. The
customers are then told what kind of services are provided and that they
can do what they want with the children. The hotels here are very well
known for these services. And it's good money for us."

Their clients are men from all backgrounds - travelling from one part of
the country to another - thus freed from the constraints of life at home
in this conservative society. With girls mostly kept at home - they prey
on these working boys who are extremely vulnerable to abuse.

Although at present there is little data on child sexual abuse in
Pakistan, experts such as the clinical psychologist, Kamran Ahmad,
believe it is widespread:

"There is a lot of repression of sexuality so what happens is that is
shows up in unhealthy forms. You rarely find healthy expressions of
sexuality in everyday life so sexual abuse becomes very common"

For the victims it is a terrifying ordeal. A boy told us how he had been
raped when he was just 7 years old. He said the men in his village were
like dogs - 'they would eat you like a dog' he said. 'It was not safe
for any young fair-skinned boy to go out alone. It was a tradition to
molest boys'.

According to the report many people in Frontier Province are also well
aware that men in the area keep boys specifically for sex.

- Matthew 10:34-36.

But then harmony ji was being sarcastic, surely.

Today in Court: A Priest, a Stripper, and a Custody Battle

By Natalie O'Neill in News
Miami New Times
Thursday, January 28, 2010

Fidgeting in his gray suit coat, disgraced priest David Dueppen told
a judge this morning he wants custody of his 1-year-old daughter. He
claims the baby's mother -- a former Porky's stripper named Beatrice
Hernandez -- has a criminal record and "ambushed" him using the
media. Now, he says, she won't let him see his kid.

"We all know he violated his vow of celibacy, but we don't want that
to be the focus of this case," says his lawyer, Ray Rafool. "My
client is desperate to see his child."

Hernandez sat on the left side of the courtroom, legs crossed, with
no lawyer. When family court judge Bernard S. Shapiro suggested she
take notes, she explained she is illiterate.

Later -- under oath and in vivid detail -- she contended Dueppen had
molested the then-6-month-old while he changed her diaper. "When I
walked in, he got paranoid," she said, adding he's a danger to the
child.

In October, Hernandez filed a restraining order alleging Dueppen had
strangled her. He began "grabbing her by the throat and choking her''
during a fight over child support, the document states. Dueppen was a
middle school teacher who became a priest ten years ago. Now booted
from his Miami Beach church, he works as a security guard.

Sex abuse revelations rock elite Catholic school in Berlin

The Local
Thursday, January 28, 2010

The headmaster of an elite Jesuit high school in Berlin has sent a
letter to former students asking them to come forward about
systematic sexual abuse by priests there in the 1970s and 1980s.

His letter was sent to some 600 former students at Canisius College
who may have been victims of at least two priests on staff, Father
Klaus Mertes told daily Berliner Morgenpost on Thursday.

"With deep shock and shame, I have learned of these horrific, not
only isolated, but systematic violations that went on for years,"
wrote Mertes, who has been headmaster of the central Berlin school
for 10 years.

The headmaster said he did not know how many children might have been
abused by the priests, who he said left the school in the 1980s.

"The weight of the incidents overwhelmed me," he told the paper. "I
have promised the victims full discretion. They are free to go to the
public or the police."

But so far no criminal complaints have been filed, the paper
reported.

The Canisius College is one of just three private Jesuit schools in
the country and has educated well-known economic and political
leaders.

In recent years isolated reports of abuse surfaced, Mertes said. But
after an internal document about the abuse was recently sent out,
more former students came forward. Their stories convinced him that
the abuse had taken place systematically over several years.

"I feel obligated to the students above all, and not as much to the
reputation of the school or myself," Mertes told the paper.

Hidden Darkness: Child Sexual Abuse in India

Written by Neeta Lal
Wednesday, 02 May 2007

An overwhelming number of India's children face unwanted attention from
sexual predators.

After a brilliant 16-year-old New Delhi girl repeatedly complained last
month that her mathematics teacher was "touching and fondling her
private parts," the upshot was a long way from what anybody bargained
for. When the girl's parents complained, the principal called them
"regressive" and blamed them for damaging the school's reputation. The
girl now stays at home to help cook and clean, her school bag lying in a
locked cupboard, her scholastic career over.

The story of the girl, referred to only as Seema, is depressingly
familiar, resonating across large parts of India, where abuse is a a
startling everyday reality for as many as half of the country's
children, according to a just-released 13-state National Study on Child
Sexual Abuse conducted by the Ministry of Women and Child Development,
UNICEF and Save The Children.

It is a long-hidden issue that India is finally beginning to wrestle
with. The government moved recently to establish a National Commission
for Protection of Children's Rights and plans are afoot to present an
Offences Against Children (Prevention) Bill in the Parliament. The
proposed document has specific sections dealing with various crimes
against children, including sale/transfer, sexual assault,
sexual/physical/emotional abuse, commercial sexual exploitation, child
pornography, grooming for sexual purpose, incest, corporal punishment,
bullying and economic exploitation.

The scale of abuse, according to the national study, is far worse than
anybody had thought. It reports that 69 per cent of all Indian children
are victims of physical, mental or emotional abuse, with New Delhi's
children facing an astounding abuse rate of 83.12 percent.

SILENT VICTIMS

ASHA KRISHNAKUMAR

Sexual abuse of children is a very real problem in India, and the
situation is aided by the absence of effective legislation and the
silence that surrounds the offence.

I am filled with shame, disgust, guilt and low self-esteem. What I
thought all along was affection, I realise now - after 12 years of
sexual relationship with my uncle - was sexual abuse.

- Anjana, 15 years.

SHOCKINGLY, over half the children in the country share Anjana's
anguish. India has the dubious distinction of having the world's largest
number of sexually abused children with a child below 16 years raped
every 155th minute, a child below 10 every 13th hour, and one in every
10 children sexually abused at any point in time. These figures
resoundingly break the silence that surrounds sexual abuse of children
and perpetuates the evil.

PILAR CAPURRO/AP

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), one in every four
girls and one in every seven boys in the world are sexually abused. But
Lois J. Engelbrecht, a researcher working on the problems of child
sexual abuse, quotes studies showing that over 50 per cent of children
in India are sexually abused, a rate that is higher than in any other
country (see interview).

Priest who faces sex trial after 40 years

Accused Morgan Costello is pushed into court

By Eimear Cotter and Cormac Looney
The Herald
Thursday, January 28, 2010

This is the priest accused of repeatedly buggering a young man while
he was working in a Dublin parish over four decades ago.

Morgan Costello (76) is alleged to have indecently assaulted and
buggered the man over a two-year period in the late 1960s.

He was arrested and charged following a major investigation by
officers at Kevin Street garda station.

The cleric is facing trial by judge and jury in the Circuit Court
after the DPP directed trial on indictment in relation to the
charges.

Costello, with an address at Collinswood Gardens, Ranelagh, appeared
before Dublin District Court charged with four counts of indecent
assault and eight counts of buggery.

Evidence

The alleged incidents took place at Meath St Church, Meath Street,
Dublin 8, on dates between 1967 and 1969.

Costello appeared before Judge Patrick McMahon. State solicitor Karen
Wilson told Judge McMahon that the book of evidence was ready to be
served on Costello.

Garda Kenneth Donnelly handed the book of evidence to Costello, who
was in a wheelchair and looked frail. Ms Wilson said Costello was
being sent forward to the present sittings of Dublin Circuit Court.

He was remanded on bail in his own bond of EU 150.

Judge McMahon gave Costello the alibi caution, saying he had 14 days
to notify the State of anyone he may be calling as an alibi in his
defence.

Costello made no comment during the brief hearing, except to confirm
he understood the alibi caution.

In a frail voice, Costello said "I do," when Judge McMahon asked him
if he understood what an alibi was.

He has not made an application for legal aid at this stage of the
proceedings.

Boston Archdiocese Releases More Information On Abusive Priests

By Deborah Becker
WBUR
Wednesday, January 27, 2010

Boston - The Boston Archdiocese is releasing more information about
three abusive priests with ties to Ireland who worked in Boston. The
archdiocese says the three men were never accused of abuse before or
while they worked here.

Two of the three Irish priests the archdiocese says worked in Boston
are deceased. Brendan Smyth, a notorious abuser who died in prison in
Dublin in the '90s, worked briefly at St. Camillus Church in
Arlington in 1991. Another serial abuser, Joseph Maguire, died in
prison in New Hampshire in 2005. He worked at the Stigmatine Fathers
Espousal Center in Waltham from 1981 to 1985.

The third priest, Dennis Murphy, worked at St. Cecilia's Church in
Boston in the late '90s. His last-known parish assignment was in
Virginia. It's not clear where Murphy is now.

Anne Barrett Doyle, co-director of BishopAccountability.org, is among
those asking for more details. "The little bit of information about
the Irish priests raises questions as well as answers them," she said
at a news conference outside the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in
Boston on Wednesday.

Doyle asked state officials to get involved. "We're calling again on
Attorney General (Martha) Coakley to follow through with her stated
intention to ask the archdiocese to release the names and assignment
histories of all accused priests in Boston," she said.

The attorney general has not said whether she's made that request.
The archdiocese says it is improving abuse prevention efforts and its
screening of all church workers.

Queens priest, Msgr. Michael Dempsey, is target of feds' kid-porn probe

By Joe Jackson and Thomas Zambito
Daily News Writers
New York Daily News
Thursday, January 28, 2010

Dempsey is being eyed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
agents for viewing online child porn.

The feds have opened a kiddie-porn probe of an elderly Queens cleric,
who has been suspended from his priestly duties.

The allegations against 78-year-old Msgr. Michael Dempsey were
revealed to parishoners at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs church in an
emotional letter from Brooklyn Diocese Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio.

Dempsey is being eyed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
agents for viewing online child porn.

"You are undoubtedly aware of the deep suffering and hurt that
surround any matter of child abuse, especially when the allegations
involve a member of the clergy," DiMarzio said. "It can damage, often
irreparably, the trust and the reputations of all who are in any way
affected by it."

The news left the Forest Hills parish reeling.

"Every preacher seems okay, but we never know what's inside," said
Blanca Navarro, 55.

A longtime Dempsey pal said he was stunned.

"My first response to this was that's impossible," said the Rev.
Frank Mann. "People just can't believe this. It just doesn't fit who
the man is."

Dempsey's lawyer Margaret Shalley could not be reached for comment.

HAF RELEASES SHORT FILM: NAMASTE - SIMPLY DIVINE VIEW IT TODAY!

Namaste. The Divine within me bows to the Divine within you.

This is how I greeted my audience at the UN last week. During the Q&A
session, one lady said, "I was touched by your greeting of Namaste
and I wish we all used it. Wouldn't it be amazing if every time we
greeted someone, we are reminded that there is something Divine
within all of us?"

Her comment stayed with me and reminded me of the power of Namaste.
As Hindus, we use the word frequently...but when was the last time,
you actually took a moment to think of the powerful message it sends
to the world?

As a brief reminder of this message, the Hindu American Foundation is
proud to release its short film, "Namaste - Simply Divine." Please
click here or paste the following URL into your browser

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9fm6RtymgE

and take three minutes to view "Namaste - Simply Divine." The video
can also be found on HAF's home page.

We hope that this film conveys, not only the idea of Namaste, but
also the beauty behind the pluralistic Hindu belief that the Divine
resides in all living beings. We encourage you to share this video
with your family, friends and local media. We hope this film inspires
you to always see the inner light in those around you.

Thank you and Namaste,

Since the terrorist mission of Jesus is stated in the Christian bible, the
answer to your question above is obvious:

"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send
peace, but a sword.
"For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the
daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in
law.
"And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
- Matthew 10:34-36.

How many people have been killed by Christians since Biblical times?

VICTIMS OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH

"WONDERFUL EVENTS THAT TESTIFY TO GOD'S DIVINE GLORY"

Listed are only events that solely occurred on command of church
Authorities or were committed in the name of Christianity. (List incomplete)

Ancient Pagans

As soon as Christianity was legal (315), more and more pagan temples
were destroyed by Christian mob. Pagan priests were killed. Between 315
and 6th century thousands of pagan believers were slain.

Examples of destroyed Temples: the Sanctuary of Aesculap in Aegaea, the
Temple of Aphrodite in Golgatha Aphaka in Lebanon, the Heliopolis.

Christian priests such as Mark of Arethusa or Cyrill of Heliopolis were
famous as "temple destroyer." [DA468] Pagan services became punishable
by death in 356. [DA468]

Christian Emperor Theodosius (408-450) even had children executed,
because they had been playing with remains of pagan statues. [DA469]

According to Christian chroniclers he "followed meticulously all
Christian teachings..." In 6th century pagans were declared void of all
rights. In the early fourth century the philosopher Sopatros was executed on
demand of Christian authorities. [DA466]

The world famous female philosopher Hypatia of Alexandria was torn to
pieces with glass fragments by a hysterical Christian mob led by a
Christian minister named Peter, in a church, in 415.[DO19-25]

Mission

Emperor Karl (Charlemagne) in 782 had 4500 Saxons, unwilling to convert
to Christianity, beheaded. [DO30]

Peasants of Steding (Germany) unwilling to pay suffocating church
taxes: between 5,000 and 11,000 men, wome and children slain 5/27/1234 near
Altenesch/Germany. [WW223]

Battle of Belgrad 1456: 80,000 Turks slaughtered. [DO235]

15th century Poland: 1019 churches and 17987 villages plundered by
Knights of the Order. Victims unknown. [DO30]

16th and 17th century Ireland. English troops "pacified and civilized"
Ireland, where only Gaelic "wild Irish", "unreasonable beasts lived
without any knowledge of God or good manners, in common of their goods,
cattle, women, children and every other thing." One of the more
successful soldiers, a certain Humphrey Gilbert, half-brother of Sir Walter
Raleigh, ordered that "the heads of all those (of whatsoever they were)
which were killed in the die, should be cut off from their bodies... and
should bee laid on the ground by each side of the waie", which effort to
civilize the Irish indeed caused "great terror to the people when they
saw the heads of their dead fathers, brothers, children, kinsfolk, and
friends on the ground". Tens of thousands of Gaelic Irish fell victim
to the carnage. [SH99,

225] Crusades (1095-1291) First Crusade: 1095 on command of pope Urban
II. [WW11-41]

Semlin/Hungary 6/24/96 thousands slain. Wieselburg/Hungary 6/12/96
thousands. [WW23] .9/9/96-9/26/96 Nikaia, Xerigordon (then Turkish),
thousands respectively. [WW25-27]

Until Jan 1098 a total of 40 capital cities and 200 castles conquered
(Number of slain unknown) [WW30] fter 6/3/98 Antiochia (then Turkish)
conquered, between 10,000 and 60,000 slain. 6/28/98 100,000 Turks (incl.
women & children) killed. [WW32-35]

Here the Christians "did no other harm to the women found in [the
Enemy's] tents -- save that they ran their lance hrough their bellies,"
according to Christian chronicler Fulcher of Chartres. [EC60]

Marra (Maraat an-numan) 12/11/98 thousands killed. Because of the
subsequent famine "the already stinking corpses of the enemies were eaten by
the Christians" said chronicler Albert Aquensis. [WW36]

Jerusalem conquered 7/15/1099 more than 60,000 victims (Jewish, Muslim,
men, women, and children). [WW3 0] In the words of one witness: "there
[in front of Solomon's temple] was such a carnage that our people were
wading ankle-deep in the blood of our foes", and after that "happily
and crying for joy our people

Marched to our Savior's tomb, to honor it and to pay off our debt of
gratitude"). e Archbishop of Tyre, eye-witness, wrote: "It was impossible
to look upon the vast numbers of the slain without horror; everywhere
lay fragments of human bodies, and the very ground was covered with the
blood of the slain. It was not alone the spectacle of headless bodies
and mutilated limbs strewn in all directions that roused the horror of
all who looked upon them. Still more dreadful was it to gaze upon the
victors themselves, dripping with blood from head to foot, an ominous

Sight which brought terror to all who met them. It is reported that
within the Temple enclosure alone about ten thousand infidels perished."
[TG79]

Christian chronicler Eckehard of Aura noted that "even the following
summer in all of Palestine the air was polluted by the stench of
decomposition. One million victims of the first crusade alone. [WW41]Battle of
Askalon, /12/1099. 200,000 heathens slaughtered "in the name of Our
Lord Jesus Christ". [WW45]

Fourth crusade: 4/12/1204 Constantinople sacked, number of victims
unknown, numerous thousands, many of them Christian. [WW141-148]

Rest of Crusades in less detail: until the fall of Akkon 1291 probably
20 million victims (in the Holy Land and Arab/Turkish areas alone).
[WW224]

Note: All figures according to contemporary (Christian) chroniclers.

Heretics

Already in 385 C.E. the first Christians, the Spanish Priscillianus and
six followers, were beheaded for heresy in Trier/Germany [DO26]

Manichaean heresy: a crypto-Christian sect decent enough to practice
birth control (and thus not as irresponsible as faithful Catholics) was
exterminated in huge campaigns all over the Roman empire between 372
C.E. and 444 C.E. Numerous thousands of victims. [NC]

Albigensians: the first Crusade intended to slay other Christians.

[DO29]

The Albigensians (cathars = Christians allegedly that have all rarely
sucked) viewed themselves as good Christians, but would not accept roman
Catholic rule, and taxes, and prohibition of birth control. [NC]

Begin of violence: on command of pope Innocent III (greatest single
pre-nazi mass murderer) in 1209. Beziérs (today France) 7/22/1209
destroyed, all the inhabitants were slaughtered. Victims (including

Catholics refusing to turn over their heretic neighbors and friends)
20,000-70,000. [WW179-181]

Carcassonne 8/15/1209, thousands slain. Other cities followed. [WW181]
subsequent 20 years of war until nearly all Cathars (probably half the
population of the Languedoc, today southern France) were

Exterminated. [WW183]

After the war ended (1229) the Inquisition was founded 1232 to search
and destroy surviving/hiding heretics. Last Cathars burned at the stake
1324. [WW183]. Estimated one million victims (cathar heresy

alone), [WW183] Other heresies: Waldensians, Paulikians, Runcarians,
Josephites, and many others. Most of these sects exterminated, (I believe
some Waldensians live today, yet they had to endure 600 years of
persecution) I estimate at least hundred thousand victims (including the
Spanish inquisition but excluding victims in the New World).

Spanish Inquisitor Torquemada alone allegedly responsible for 10,220
burnings. [DO28]

John Huss, a critic of papal infallibility and indulgences, was burned
at the stake in 1415. [LI475-522]. University professor B.Hubmaier
burned at the stake 1538 in Vienna. [DO59]

Giordano Bruno, Dominican monk, after having been incarcerated for
seven years, was burned at the stake for heresy on the Campo dei Fiori
(Rome) on 2/17/1600.

Witches

From the beginning of Christianity to 1484 probably more than several
thousand. In the era of witch hunting (1484-1750) according to modern
scholars several hundred thousand (about 80% female) burned at the stake
or Hanged. [WV]incomplete list of documented cases:The Burning of
Witches -- A Chronicle of the Burning Times

Religious Wars

15th century: Crusades against Hussites, thousands slain. [DO30]

1538 pope Paul III declared Crusade against apostate England and all

English as slaves of Church (fortunately had not power to go into
action). [DO31]

1568 Spanish Inquisition Tribunal ordered extermination of 3 million
rebels in (then Spanish) Netherlands. Thousands were actually slain.
[DO31]

1572 In France about 20,000 Huguenots were killed on command of pope
Pius V. Until 17th century 200,000 flee. [DO31]

17th century: Catholics slay Gaspard de Coligny, a Protestant leader.

After murdering him, the Catholic mob mutilated his body, "cutting off
his head, his hands, and his genitals... and then dumped him into the
river [...but] then, deciding that it was not worthy of being food for
the fish, they hauled it out again [... and] dragged what was left ...
to the gallows of Montfaulcon, 'to be meat and carrion for maggots and

Crows'." [SH191]

17th century: Catholics sack the city of Magdeburg/Germany: roughly
30,000 Protestants were slain. "In a single church fifty women were found
beheaded," reported poet Friedrich Schiller, "and infants still sucking
the breasts of their lifeless mothers." [SH191]

17th century 30 years' war (Catholic vs. Protestant): at least 40% of
population decimated, mostly in Germany. [DO31-32]

Jews

Already in the 4th and 5th centuries synagogues were burned by
Christians. Number of Jews slain unknown.

In the middle of the fourth century the first synagogue was destroyed
on command of bishop Innocentius of Dertona in Northern Italy. The first
synagogue known to have been burned down was near the river Euphrat, on
command of the bishop of Kallinikon in the year 388. [DA450]

17. Council of Toledo 694: Jews were enslaved, their property
confiscated, and their children forcibly baptized. [DA454]

The Bishop of Limoges (France) in 1010 had the cities' Jews, who would
not convert to Christianity, expelled or killed. [DA453]

First Crusade: Thousands of Jews slaughtered 1096, maybe 12.000 total.

Carentan, and Rameru (all locations in France). [WW57]

Third Crusade: English Jewish communities sacked 1189/90. [DO40]
Fulda/Germany 1235: 34 Jewish men and women slain. [DO41]

1257, 1267: Jewish communities of London, Canterbury, Northampton,
Lincoln, Cambridge, and others exterminated. [DO41]

1290 in Bohemian (Poland) allegedly 10,000 Jews killed. [DO41]

1337 Starting in Deggendorf/Germany a Jew-killing craze reaches 51
towns in Bavaria, Austria, Poland. [DO41]

1348 All Jews of Basel/Switzerland and Strasbourg/France (two thousand)
burned. [DO41]

1349 In more than 350 towns in Germany all Jews murdered, mostly burned
alive (in this one year more Jews were killed than Christians in 200
years of ancient Roman persecution of Christians). [DO42]

1389 In Prag 3,000 Jews were slaughtered. [DO42]

1391 Seville's Jews killed (Archbishop Martinez leading). 4,000 were
slain, 25,000 sold as slaves. [DA454] Their identification was made easy
by the brightly colored "badges of shame" that all Jews above the age
of ten had been forced to wear.

1492: In the year Columbus set sail to conquer a New World, more than
150,000 Jews were expelled from Spain, many died on their way:
6/30/1492. [MM470-476]

1648 Chmielnitzki massacres: In Poland about 200,000 Jews were slain.
[DO43]

(I feel sick ...) this goes on and on, century after century, right
into the kilns of Auschwitz.

Native Peoples

Beginning with Columbus (a former slave trader and would-be Holy
Crusader) the conquest of the New World began, as usual understood as a means
to propagate Christianity.

Within hours of landfall on the first inhabited island he encountered
in the Caribbean, Columbus seized and carried off six native people who,
he said, "ought to be good servants ... [and] would easily be made
Christians, because it seemed to me that they belonged to no religion."
[SH200]

While Columbus described the Indians as "idolaters" and "slaves, as
many as [the Crown] shall order," his pal Michele de Cuneo, Italian
nobleman, referred to the natives as "beasts" because "they eat when they are
hungry," and made love "openly whenever they feel like it." [SH204-205]

On every island he set foot on, Columbus planted a cross, "making the
declarations that are required" -- the equerimiento -- to claim the
ownership for his Catholic patrons in Spain. And "nobody objected." If

the Indians refused or delayed their acceptance (or understanding),

the requerimiento continued:

"I certify to you that, with the help of God, we shall powerfully enter
in your country and shall make war against you ... and shall subject
you to the yoke and obedience of the Church ... and shall do you all
mischief that we can, as to vassals who do not obey and refuse to receive
their lord and resist and contradict him." [SH66]

Likewise in the words of John Winthrop, first governor of Massachusetts
Bay Colony: "justifying the undertakers of the intended Plantation in
New England ... to carry the Gospel into those parts of the world, ...
and to raise a Bulwark against the kingdom of the Ante-Christ." [SH235]

In average two thirds of the native population were killed by
colonist-imported smallpox before violence began. This was a great sign of "the
marvelous goodness and providence of God" to the Christians of course,
e.g. the Governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony wrote in 1634, as
"for the natives, they are near all dead of

the smallpox, so as the Lord hath cleared our title to what we
possess." [SH109,238]

On Hispaniola alone, on Columbus visits, the native population
(Arawak), a rather harmless and happy people living on an island of abundant
natural resources, a literal paradise, soon mourned 50,000

Dead. [SH204]

The surviving Indians fell victim to rape, murder, enslavement and
Spanish raids.

As one of the culprits wrote: "So many Indians died that they could not
be counted, all through the land the Indians lay dead everywhere. The
stench was very great and pestiferous." [SH69]

The Indian chief Hatuey fled with his people but was captured and
burned alive. As "they were tying him to the stake a Franciscan friar urged
him to take Jesus to his heart so that his soul might go to heaven,
rather than descend into hell. Hatuey replied that if heaven was where the
Christians went, he would rather go to hell." [SH70]

What happened to his people was described by an eyewitness:

"The Spaniards found pleasure in inventing all kinds of odd cruelties
They built a long gibbet, long enough for the toes to touch the
ground to prevent strangling, and hanged thirteen [natives] at a time in
honor of Christ Our Savior and the twelve Apostles... then, straw was
wrapped around their torn bodies and they were burned alive."

[SH72]

Or, on another occasion:

"The Spaniards cut off the arm of one, the leg or hip of another, and
from some their heads at one stroke, like butchers cutting up beef and
mutton for market. Six hundred, including the cacique, were thus slain
like brute beasts...Vasco [de Balboa] ordered forty of them to be torn
to pieces by dogs." [SH83]

The "island's population of about eight million people at the time of
Columbus's arrival in 1492 already had declined by a third to a half
before the year 1496 was out." Eventually all the island's natives were
exterminated, so the Spaniards were "forced" to import slaves from other
Caribbean islands, who soon suffered the same fate. Thus

"the Caribbean's millions of native people [were] thereby effectively
liquidated in barely a quarter of a century". [SH72-73] "In less than
the normal lifetime of a single human being, an entire culture of
millions of people, thousands of years resident in their homeland, had been
exterminated." [SH75]

"And then the Spanish turned their attention to the mainland of Mexico
and Central America. The slaughter had barely begun. The exquisite city
of Tenochtitlán [Mexico city] was next." [SH75]

Cortez, Pizarro, De Soto and hundreds of other Spanish conquistadors
likewise sacked southern and mesoamerican civilizations in the name of
Christ (De Soto also sacked Florida). ."When the 16th century ended, some
200,000 Spaniards had moved to the Americas. By that time probably more
than 60,000,000 natives were dead." [SH95]

Of course no different were the founders of what today is the US of
America.

Although none of the settlers would have survived winter without native
help, they soon set out to expel and exterminate the Indians. Warfare
among (north American) Indians was rather harmless, in comparison to
European standards, and was meant to avenge insults rather than conquer
land. In the words of some of the Pilgrim Fathers:

"Their Wars are far less bloody..." so that there usually was "no great
slawter of nether side". Indeed, "they might fight seven years and not
kill seven men." What is more, the Indians usually spared women and
children. [SH111]

In the spring of 1612 some English colonists found life among the
(generally friendly and generous) natives ttractive enough to leave
Jamestown -- "being idle ... did run away unto the Indians," -- to live among
them (that probably solved a sex problem).

"Governor Thomas Dale had them hunted down and executed: 'some he
appointed (sic) to be hanged Some burned Some to be broken upon wheels,
others to be staked and some shot to death'." [SH105] Of course these
elegant measures were restricted for fellow Englishmen: "This was the
treatment for those who wished to act like Indians. For those who had no
choice in the matter, because they were the native people of Virginia"
methods were ifferent: "when an Indian was accused by an Englishman of
stealing a cup and failing to return it, the English response was to attack
the natives in force, burning the entire community" down. [SH105]

On the territory that is now Massachusetts the founding fathers of the
colonies were committing genocide, in what has become known as the
"Peqout War". The killers were New England Puritan Christians, refugees
from resection in their own home country England.

When however, a dead colonist was found, apparently killed by
Narragansett Indians, the Puritan colonists wanted revenge. Despite the Indian
chief's pledge they attacked.

Somehow they seem to have lost the idea of what they were after,
because when they were greeted by Pequot Indians (long-time foes of the
Narragansetts) the troops nevertheless made war on the Pequots and burned
their villages.

The puritan commander-in-charge John Mason after one massacre wrote:

"And indeed such a dreadful Terror did the Almighty let fall upon their
Spirits, that they would fly from us and run into the very Flames,
where many of them perished ... God was above them, who laughed his Enemies
and the Enemies of his People to Scorn, making them as a fiery Oven ...
Thus did the Lord judge among the Heathen,

filling the Place with dead Bodies": men, women, children. [SH113-114]
So "the Lord was pleased to smite our Enemies in the hinder Parts, and
to give us their land for an inheritance". [SH111]. Because of his
readers' assumed knowledge of Deuteronomy, there was no need for Mason to
quote the words that immediately follow:

"Thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth. But thou shalt utterly
destroy them..." (Deut 20)

Mason's comrade Underhill recalled how "great and doleful was the
bloody sight to the view of the young soldiers" yet reassured his readers
that "sometimes the Scripture declareth women and children must perish
with their parents". [SH114]

Other Indians were killed in successful plots of poisoning. The
colonists even had dogs especially trained to kill Indians and to devour
children from their mother's breasts, in the colonists' own words: "blood
Hounds to draw after them, and Mastives to seaze them." (This was
inspired by Spanish methods of the time)

In this way they continued until the extermination of the Pequots was
near. [SH107-119]

The surviving handful of Indians "were parceled out to live in
servitude. John Endicott and his pastor wrote to the governor asking for 'a
share' of the captives, specifically 'a young woman or girl and a boy if
you think good'." [SH115]

Other tribes were to follow the same path.

Comment the Christian exterminators: "God's Will, which will at last
give us cause to say: How Great is His Goodness! and How Great is his
Beauty!" "Thus doth the Lord Jesus make them to bow before him, and to
lick the

Dust!" [TA]

Like today, lying was OK to Christians then. "Peace treaties were
signed with every intention to violate them: when the Indians 'grow secure
upon (sic) the treatise', advised the Council of State in Virginia, 'we
shall have the better Advantage both to surprise them, & cut down their
Corn'." [SH106]

In 1624 sixty heavily armed Englishmen cut down 800 defenseless Indian
men, women and children. [SH107]

In a single massacre in "King Philip's War" of 1675 and 1676 some "600
Indians were destroyed. A delighted Cotton Matter, revered pastor of
the Second Church in Boston, later referred to the slaughter as a
'barbecue'." [SH115]

To summarize: Before the arrival of the English, the western Abenaki
people in New Hampshire and Vermont had numbered 12,000. Less than half a
century later about 250 remained alive -- a destruction rate of 98%. The
ocumtuck people had numbered more than 18,000, fifty years later they
were down to 920 -- 95% destroyed. The Quiripi-Unquachog people had
numbered about 30,000, fifty years later they were down to 1500 -- 95%
destroyed. The Massachusetts people had numbered at least 44,000, fifty years
later barely 6000 were alive -- 81% destroyed.

[SH118] These are only a few examples of the multitude of tribes living
before Christian colonists set their foot on the New World. All this
was before the smallpox epidemics of 1677 and 1678 had occurred. And the
carnage was not over then.

All the above was only the beginning of the European colonization, it
was before the frontier age actually had begun. A total of maybe more
than 150 million Indians (of both Americas) were destroyed in the period
of 1500 to 900, as an average two thirds by smallpox and other
epidemics, that leaves some 50 million killed directly by violence, bad
treatment and slavery. In many countries, such as Brazil, and Guatemala, this
continues even today.

More Glorious events in US history

Reverend Solomon Stoddard, one of New England's most esteemed religious
leaders, in "1703 formally proposed to he Massachusetts Governor that
the colonists be given the financial wherewithal to purchase and train
large packs of dogs 'to hunt Indians as they do bears'." [SH241]

Massacre of Sand Creek, Colorado 11/29/1864. Colonel John Chivington, a
former Methodist ministers and still elder in the church ("I long to be
wading in gore") had a Cheyenne village of about 600, mostly women and
children, gunned down despite the chiefs' waving with a white flag:
400-500 killed.

From an eye-witness account: "There were some thirty or forty squaws
collected in a hole for protection; they sent out a little girl about six
years old with a white flag on a stick; she had not proceeded but a few
steps when she was shot and killed. All the squaws in that hole were
afterwards killed ..." [SH131]

More gory details.

By the 1860s, "in Hawai'i the Reverend Rufus Anderson surveyed the
carnage that by then had reduced those slands' native population by 90
percent or more, and he declined to see it as tragedy; the expected total
die-off of the Hawaiian population was only natural, this missionary
said, somewhat equivalent to 'the amputation of diseased

members of the body'." [SH244]

20th Century Church Atrocities

Catholic extermination camps

Surpassingly few know that Nazi extermination camps in World War II
were by no means the only ones in Europe at the time. In the years
1942-1943 also in Croatia existed numerous extermination camps, run by

Catholic Ustasha under their dictator Ante Paveliç, a practicing
Catholic and regular visitor to the then pope. There were even concentration
camps exclusively for children!

In these camps -- the most notorious was Jasenovac, headed by a
Franciscan friar -- orthodox-Christian Serbian (and a substantial number of
Jews) were murdered. Like the Nazis the Catholic Ustasha burned their
victims in kilns, alive (the Nazis were decent enough to have their victims
gassed first). But most of the victims were simply stabbed, slain or
shot to death, the number of them being estimated between 300,000 and
600,000, in a rather tiny country. Many of the killers were Franciscan
friars. The atrocities were appalling enough to induce bystanders of the
Nazi "Sicherheitsdient der SS", watching, to complain about them to
Hitler (who did not listen). The pope knew about these events and did
nothing to prevent them. [MV]

Catholic terror in Vietnam

In 1954 Vietnamese freedom fighters -- the Viet Minh -- had finally
defeated the French colonial government in North Vietnam, which by then had
been supported by U.S. funds amounting to more than $2 billion.
Although the coteries assured religious freedom to all (most non-Buddhist
Vietnamese were Catholics), due to huge anticommunist propaganda campaigns
many Catholics fled to the South. With the help of Catholic lobbies in
Washington and Cardinal Spellman, the Vatican's spokesman in U.S.
politics, who later on would call the U.S. forces in Vietnam "Soldiers of
Christ", a scheme was concocted to prevent democratic elections which
could have brought the communist

Viet Minh to power in the South as well, and the fanatic Catholic Ngo
Dinh Diem was made president of South Vietnam. [MW16ff]

Diem saw to it that U.S. aid, food, technical and general assistance
was given to Catholics alone, Buddhist individuals and villages were
ignored or had to pay for the food aids which were given to Catholics for
free. The only religious denomination to be supported was Roman
Catholicism.

The Vietnamese McCarthyism turned even more vicious than its American
counterpart. By 1956 Diem promulgated a presidential order which read:

"Individuals considered dangerous to the national defense and common
security may be confined by executive order, to a concentration camp."

Supposedly to fight communism, thousands of Buddhist protesters and
monks were imprisoned in "detention camps." Out of protest dozens of
Buddhist teachers -- male and female -- and monks poured gasoline over
themselves and burned themselves. (Note that Buddhists burned themselves: in
comparison Christians tend to burn others). Meanwhile some of the prison
camps, which in the meantime were filled with Protestant and even
Catholic rotesters as well, had turned into no-nonsense death camps. It is
estimated that during this period of terror (1955-1960) at least 24,000
were wounded -- mostly in street riots -- 80,000 people were executed,
275,000 had been detained or tortured, and about 500,000 were sent to
concentration or detention camps. [MW76-89].

To support this kind of government in the next decade thousands of
American GI's lost their life.

Christianity kills the cat

On July 1, 1976, Anneliese Michel, a 23-year-old student of a teachers
college in Germany, died: she starved herself to death. For months she
had been haunted by demonic visions and apparitions, and for months two
Catholic priests -- with explicit approval of the Catholic bishop of
Würzburg -- additionally pestered and tormented the wretched girl

with their exorcist rituals. After her death in Klingenberg hospital --
her body was littered with wounds -- her parents, both of them fanatical
Catholics, were sentenced to six months for not having called for
medical help. None of the priests was punished: on the contrary, Miss
Michel's grave today is a place of pilgrimage and worship for a number of
similarly faithful Catholics (in the seventeenth century Würzburg was
notorious for it's extensive witch burnings).

This case is only the tip of an iceberg of such evil superstition and
has become known only because of its lethal outcome. [SP80]

Rwanda Massacres

In 1994 in the small African country of Rwanda in just a few months
several hundred thousand civilians were butchered, apparently a conflict
of the Hutu and Tootsie ethnic groups. For quite some time I heard only
rumors about Catholic clergy actively involved in the 1994 Rwanda
massacres. Odd denials of involvement were printed in Catholic Church
journals, before even anybody had openly accused members of the church.

Then, 10/10/96, in the newscast of S2 Aktuell, Germany -- a station not
at all critical to Christianity -- the following was stated:

"Anglican as well as Catholic priests and nuns are suspect of having
actively participated in murders. Especially the conduct of a certain
Catholic priest has been occupying the public mind in Rwanda's capital
Kigali for months. He was minister of the church of the Holy Family and
allegedly murdered Tootsies in the most brutal manner. He is reported to
have accompanied marauding Hutu militia with a gun in his cowl. In fact
there has been a bloody laughter of Tootsies seeking shelter in his
parish. Even two years after the massacres many Catholics refuse to set
foot on the threshold of their church, because to them the participation
of a certain part of the clergy in the slaughter is well established.
There is almost no church in Rwanda that has not seen refugees -- women,
children, old -- being brutally butchered facing the crucifix.

According to eyewitnesses clergymen gave away hiding Tootsies and
turned them over to the machetes of the Hutu militia. In connection with
these events again and again two Benedictine nuns are mentioned, both of
whom have fled into a Belgian monastery in the meantime to avoid
prosecution. According to survivors one of them called the Hutu killers and
led them to several thousand people who had sought shelter in her
monastery. By force the doomed were driven out of the churchyard and were
murdered in the presence of the nun right in front of the gate. The other
one is also reported to have directly cooperated with the murderers of
the Hutu militia. In her case again witnesses report that she watched
the slaughtering of people in cold blood and without showing response.
She is even accused of having procured some petrol used by the killers to
set on fire and burn their victims alive..." [S2]

As can be seen from these events, to Christianity the Dark Ages never
come to an end.

English is a Crazy Language

By Richard Lederer
July, 1996

Let's face it -- English is a crazy language. There is no
egg in eggplant nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor
pine in pineapple. English muffins weren't invented in
England or French fries in France. Sweetmeats are candies
while sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat.

We take English for granted. But if we explore its
paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing
rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea
nor is it a pig.

And why is it that writers write but fingers don't fing,
grocers don't groce and hammers don't ham? If the plural
of tooth is teeth, why isn't the plural of booth beeth?
One goose, 2 geese. So one moose, 2 meese... One blouse,
2 blice?

Doesn't it seem crazy that you can make amends but not
one amend, that you comb through annals of history but
not a single annal? If you have a bunch of odds and ends
and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it?

If teachers taught, why didn't preachers praught? If a
vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat?
If you wrote a letter, perhaps you bote your tongue?

Sometimes I think all the English speakers should be
committed to an asylum for the verbally insane. In what
language do people recite at a play and play at a
recital? Ship by truck and send cargo by ship? Have noses
that run and feet that smell? Park on driveways and drive
on parkways?

How can a "slim chance" and a "fat chance" be the same,
while a "wise man" and "wise guy" are opposites? How can
overlook and oversee be opposites, while "quite a lot"
and "quite a few" are alike? How can the weather be "hot
as hell" one day and "cold as hell" another?

Have you noticed that we talk about certain things only
when they are absent? Have you ever seen a horseful
carriage or a strapful gown? Met a sung hero or
experienced requited love? Have you ever run into someone
who was combobulated, gruntled, ruly or peccable? And
where are all those people who are spring chickens or who
would actually hurt a fly?

You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in
which your house can burn up as it burns down, in which
you fill in a form by filling it out and in which an
alarm clock goes off by going on.

How can it be easier to assent than to dissent but harder
to ascend than to descend? Why it is that a man with hair
on his head has more hair than a man with hairs on his
head; that if you decide to be bad forever, you choose to
be bad for good; and that if you choose to wear only your
left shoe, then your left one is right and your right one
is left? Right?

English was invented by people, not computers, and it
reflects the creativity of the human race (which, of
course, isn't a race at all). That is why, when the stars
are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out,
they are invisible. And why, when I wind up my watch, I
start it, but when I wind up this essay, I end it?

Now I know why I flunked my English. It's not my fault,
the silly language doesn't quite know whether it's coming
or going.

I'm sure there are a lot more examples.

Boston Archdiocese admits Irish sex abuse priests worked in its
parishes

Says there were no allegations made against them

By Kelly Fincham, IrishCentral.com Editor
Irish Central
Wednesday, January 27, 2010

The Boston Archdiocese has admitted for the first time that Irish sex
abuse priests worked in its diocese.

The priests, named as Brendan Smyth, Dennis Murphy and Joseph
Maguire, were transferred from Ireland to the U.S. in what critics
say was little more than an attempt to insulate the priests from
scrutiny and possible prosecution.

Boston Cardinal Sean O'Malley said that the trio did, at one time,
work in the Boston Archdiocese.

But he said he was unaware of any abuse allegations against the three
men during their time in Boston or before that.

Well that's alright then.

Is it?

The absence of allegations given the subject matter is hardly
reassuring. The Archdiocese, which only released the names under
pressure from the activist organization BishopAccountability.org,
needs to do more investigation.

Terry McKiernan, for one, from BishopAccountability.org, wants more
details.

"It's a bit of surprise and not really a surprise," McKiernan said.
"It seems to me a shame that this is still the way things are
working. Surely the Boston Archdiocese by now should know it needs to
come forward, it needs to come clean about situations like this."

BishopAccountability.org had urged Cardinal Sean O'Malley to give
them the names of Irish priests who had served in the area and had
been accused of sex abuse in Ireland.

Their request was prompted by the publication of the Murphy report in
Ireland which revealed that Dublin church leaders shielded pedophile
priests between 1975 and 2004.

The group wants to know if the same thing was happening here.

They maintain a detailed database which seems to suggest that the
Irish church kept exporting monsters to the U.S.

One such monster was Brendan Smyth.

Smyth masqueraded as a man of a the cloth in Ireland and the US from
the 1940s right up until the early '90s.

As we now know, he was no man of the cloth.

No one knows how many children he preyed upon, but what we do know is
that his order, the Norbertines, went to great lengths to cover up
his crime.

They moved him from parish to parish whenever any allegations were
made against him, and shipped him out to America when they needed to.

It is beyond belief that the man discovered his real faith crossing
the Atlantic and became a true man of the cloth.

The Boston Church -- and the rest of the American church -- needs to
do more to investigate whether these men continued their abuse in
America and who, if anyone, knew about it.

Canadian Diocese Requests Vatican to Defrock Dishonored Priest

By Helena Zhu
Epoch Times Staff
Wednesday, January 27, 2010

The diocese of Bathurst in the Canadian province of New Brunswick,
has asked the Vatican to unfrock a priest who recently pleaded guilty
to 22 sex-related offenses involving boys. The move would restrict
retired priest Levi Noel to being a lay person within the church.

Noel, 84, was sentenced last Friday to eight years in prison for
gross indecency and indecent assault. The offenses occurred between
1958 and 1981 while Noel was a priest on the Acadian Peninsula in
northeastern New Brunswick.

Speaking on behalf of the diocese, Father Wesley Wade apologized to
Noels victims.

"It's very sad that these situations happen, and we are very sorry
and we apologize again to all the victims and their families," he
told CBC News.

"It's very sad when we see people of authority, especially in the
church, people who are supposed to be men of God, abuse children."

Noel, who had worked as a priest for 30 years before retiring a
decade ago, pleaded guilty to 18 charges last October. The 18 victims
were aged between 8 and 16 at the time of the abuse.

Last week, Noel pleaded guilty to four additional charges after four
more victims came forward.

Several victims were abused on a weekly basis for years, and all of
them suffered psychologically as a result, said Judge Donald LeBlanc
during the sentencing.

Some of the victims, who may file a lawsuit against the diocese, held
a news conference after the sentencing to urge other victims to come
forward. They are calling on the diocese of Bathurst to make more
efforts to prevent abuse and provide psychological counselng to
victims.

Wade told CBC News that all dioceses across Canada and throughout the
Western world have committees in place to help focus on what can be
done "to avoid these situations."

"So that's what we do in our diocese. We have been doing that for 10
to 15 years with a committee -- to be in a situation of security for
our children on all church premises."

Crown prosecutor Pierre Gionet told reporters that he believes Noels
sentence is the longest a priest has ever received in Canada for sex
abuse crimes.
